Oliver Stephens (b. 1990, Antigua Guatemala, GT) is receiving a B.F.A. in painting and historic preservation, with a minor in art history, from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA, in May 2017. He has exhibited in several group exhibitions in Guatemala City, Modena, Venice and Savannah. He has notably participated in the Padiglione Italia for the 54th Venice Biennale curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. Through a meticulous use of line work and geometry, flowing narratives depict commentary on controversial cultural experiences. Layers of hidden meaning are created through symbolism and abstraction. He currently lives and works in Savannah, GA and is relocating to Latin America in the summer of 2017.
